Shaq on WrestleMania issues

Shaquille O'Neal discussed why plans for a Big Show match at WrestleMania 33 didn't work out during the recording of the 100th episode of "The Big Podcast with Shaq." O'Neal claims the match didn't happen, "Because they kept playing. First, they said it was me and Big Show. Then, they said it was going to be 3 and 3. Then, they canceled it, so when they canceled it, I made other arrangements. And then they tried to call back and tried to get it done, and I just said, 'I'm not going to do it.' They messed up."

Mauro Ranallo

In his first combat sports broadcast in over a month, Mauro Ranallo will team with Frank Shamrock to call the Rizin 2017 in Yokohama MMA show for the Rizin Fight Federation on April 16, which will air on the FITE TV app in the United States. Ranallo last appeared on WWE programming as part of the March 7 broadcasts of SmackDown Live and 205 Live. On the March 14 edition of SmackDown Live, snow storms in the Northeast were blamed for Ranallo's absence from a show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The following week, on March 21, fellow commentator Tom Phillips explained another Ranallo absence by saying he was 'out sick'. He has since not been mentioned on WWE programming. Ranallo, who has a history of bipolar disorder, disappeared from his typically active social media presence for several weeks, before returning recently and thanking hundreds, if not thousands, of people for their support on an individual basis on Twitter. He has blamed the effects of his bipolar disorder for his absence. Neither he nor WWE has commented publicly on a potential return to the company. When reached for comment, the WWE said, "Mauro Ranallo remains under contract until August 12, 2017."
