Good news: The 8-6 Titans are still the No.5 seed in the AFC playoff race thanks to tiebreakers over the Ravens and Bills. Bad news: They will likely have to win at least one of their final two games (vs. LAR, JAX) to make it.

Garoppolo leads Niners past Titans (1:26)

Marcus Mariota said he should've checked out of 3rd & 2 run on Titans final offensive drive. He said he asked to run the DeMarco Murray rush that was stopped for -1 yard late in the fourth quarter. Mariota: "I thought we could cram it in there and get two yards."

A lot of frustration in Titans locker room after losing two straight games to Cardinals, 49ers. Pro Bowl DT Jurrell Casey summed up a lot of players' thoughts: "To lose to two sorry teams like that, I'm at a loss for words."

Jimmy Time! Garoppolo leads 49ers to third straight win

Jimmy Garoppolo led one final scoring drive in the closing seconds to cap a fantastic first home start, Robbie Gould kicked a game-winning 45-yard field goal as time expired, and the San Francisco 49ers topped the Tennessee Titans 25-23 on Sunday.

Mariota exploits mismatch on Matthews TD (0:23)

Titans score 17 consecutive points to take the lead. This looks like a different offense in the second half led by Marcus Mariota's precision.

play
Walker gets toes down for 4-yard TD (0:23)

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

TD drive for Titans before half could be a season-saver if they come back. Maybe more up-tempo offense could help in second half. The first half was dominated by the 49ers and Jimmy G. 49ers had the ball for over 20 mins in first half. They had 44 plays to TENN's 23.

Logan Ryan (ankle) is questionable to return.

Delanie Walker is struggling today against his former team, the 49ers. He just fumbled in a huge situation when Titans needed points. He also dropped a potential TD earlier. Rough first half homecoming.

Luke Stocker is active for first time as a Titan. Tennessee has 4 TEs active. Titans inactives: Derrick Morgan, Curtis Riley, Brandon Weeden, Kalan Reed, Josh Carraway, Corey Levin, Harry Douglas.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Titans starting safety Johnathan Cyprien had a team-high 10 tackles and a sack vs. Cardinals. Definitely a plus for this Titans D to have him active vs. 49ers today.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Johnathan Cyprien just gave me the thumbs up that he will play today. He was questionable with a back injury. He was warming up in front of Mike Mularkey, Jon Robinson and other Titans coaches. He looked good and will be active.

Seth Walder ESPN Analytics

Among AFC teams, the Titans face the most playoff leverage today. Tennessee has a 51% chance to beat the 49ers, per FPI.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Titans second-year FS Kevin Byard led all NFL safeties with 157,036 fan votes. Byard is tied for the NFL lead with 6 INTs and has been playing great ball. Coaches and players, who voted Friday, make up the other 2/3 of Pro Bowl vote. Rosters will be announced Tuesday.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Titans likely down two defensive starters vs 49ers. Derrick Morgan is OUT Sunday with knee sprain. Johnathan Cyprien (back) questionable, but closer to doubtful. Marcus Mariota and Taylor Lewan are good to go, as expected. Titans TE Phillip Supernaw (ankle) is questionable.
