Power Rankings: Raiders slide down after bad loss

The Raiders have struggled with the vertical passing attack this season. If Oakland wants to get back on track this week, they'll need Derek Carr to show off his deep ball.

NFL's best and worst QBs of Week 3: Derek Carr

Although Carr's stat line doesn't look so bad at first glance, a closer review shows that the 26-year-old was a disaster on third down against the Redskins.

Del Rio doesn't expect teamwide protest again

The Raiders' nearly teamwide protest during the national anthem prior to Sunday night's game at Washington was a one-time display, Oakland coach Jack Del Rio and several players said after the game.

The update on Michael Crabtree today was that there was no update. Crabtree took a blow to the chest on a high sideline pass Sunday night in Washington and did not return to the game. He was in the locker room after the 27-10 loss but not available for comment. Here is what Raiders coach Jack Del Rio said in his Monday media conference:

Measuring Skins' dominance against Raiders

Washington finished plus-344 in total yards on Sunday night, its best mark in a game since 1974 and the best by any NFL team in a non-overtime game since Week 8 of 2015. Oakland's 128 total yards were the second fewest in a game by any team since the start of 2016. (ESPN Stats & Info)

Missed opportunity to move to 3-0

Six of the eight teams to enter Week 3 at 2-0 lost: the Broncos, Lions, Panthers, Raiders, Ravens and Steelers. Historically, that would leave their playoff odds around a coin flip instead of near 75 percent. ESPN's FPI is still bullish on the Steelers (81.7 percent odds), but it pegs the rest of these teams at 50.5 percent or below, with the Panthers all the way down at 27.7 percent.

Jack Del Rio, on Raiders anthem protest: "If they didn't have the kickoff so close ton the anthem, we probably would have stayed in instead of going out, but that's the way we handled it. Was it a problem? I don't think so. I think the problem was (Washington) outplayed us today."

Donald Penn: "We've got disasters going on in Florida and Puerto Rico and Houston's trying to rebuild and (Trump is) worried about us with a silent, peaceful protest. When the people in Charlottesville had all this, he didn't call them sons of bitches. He didn't call them assholes. You know what I mean?...This had nothing to do with disrespecting the military, or the flag. I have the utmost respect for them. Because you will not see me over there shooting no guns...this all had to do with President Trump's comments. That's the only reason we did that. If somebody calls you out like that, you've got to do something…see how we're giving Trump all this power. I don't want to give him that. I don't even want to talk about him no more.”
