Browns' Jackson clarifies anthem comments

After being criticized for earlier comments regarding players protesting during the national anthem, Browns head coach Hue Jackson made it clear Thursday that he wasn't trying to discourage his players from making a statement.

Injury report — Add DT Danny Shelton to the list. Shelton missed practice with an undisclosed knee issue and will be week to week. He, OG Joel Bitonio and backup OT Cam Erving will not play Monday night against the Giants. Others who are unlikely to play after missing the final training camp practice include DL Caleb Brantley (shoulder), DB Ibraheim Campbell (concussion), OL Gabe Ikard (concussion), DL Cam Johnson (knee) and S Ed Reynolds II.
