Mailbag: LaMarcus Aldridge back to Portland?

It might make sense from a basketball standpoint, but don't expect either side to be interested in a reunion after the way they broke up following the 2014-15 season.

Ranking playoff MVPs: Kawhi Leonard

Leonard averaged 27.7 points in a postseason that was limited after injuring his ankle. Otherwise, he'd be higher on our list of top playoff performers.

Sources: Spurs exploring run at Clips' Paul

The Clippers regard the threat of San Antonio signing away All-Star point guard Chris Paul as a legitimate concern, league sources told ESPN, even though the Spurs, at present, have virtually no salary-cap flexibility.

Good news to end the week. David Lee doesn't need surgery on his knee, per his agent Mark Bartelstein. He's got a sprained patellar tendon that should heal in about six weeks.

The Clippers, I'm told, take the threat of a Spurs free-agent pursuit of Chris Paul very seriously despite SA's current lack of cap space.

The Minnesota Timberwolves view Derrick Rose as a potential free-agent target this summer, league sources told ESPN. Rose, 28, will be a free agent for the first time in his career after spending last season with the New York Knicks. It is unclear at this point which other outside teams besides the Timberwolves view Rose as a potential free-agent target. Some rival executives believe the San Antonio Spurs may have interest in Rose, depending on how the free-agent market for point guards develops. The Knicks, as of late in the regular season, hadn't ruled out the possibility of re-signing Rose, per sources.

Vote: Is Manu Ginobili a Hall of Famer?

Manu Ginobili just completed his 15th season in the NBA, all spent with the Spurs. If he decides to call it a career, will he be enshrined in the Hall of Fame?

ESPN Stats and Information

The loss of Kawhi Leonard to injury loomed large in the Western Conference finals, as the Spurs were considerably worse both offensively and defensively without their star player on the court.
