In the wake of the NFL protests over the weekend, Nick Saban said that he isn't in favor of censorship of players. He said it's "painful" to see the lack of unity now but respects everyone's rights to express their beliefs. "Most good things come out of love, respect and compassion and unifying people," he said. "And most bad things come out of hate, dislike and deceit. Hopefully we can focus on the above and not the below."

Nick Saban says Ole Miss has the best group of receivers they've faced this year. Explosive plays on offense will be a point of emphasis against QB Shea Patterson and Co. "This will be a really challenging game for us in a lot of different ways," Saban said.

Nick Saban says the Vanderbilt game was probably the best they've played this season. "Everybody who played in the game was the player of the week because they bought in to what we wanted to do," he said.

Power Rankings Week 4: No change for Alabama

Either the big test for Alabama's offense never came against Vanderbilt on Saturday, or the Tide aced it fast. Bama scored 31 points by halftime on its way toward crushing the Commodores.

USF defense practically perfect

South Florida shut down Temple in all aspects, posting a defensive efficiency of 99.99 percent. Meanwhile, Alabama's defense was even more efficient than its offense, which wasn't far off perfect in its own right.

Sooners, Crimson Tide lead the way on offense

It doesn't get much better than the Oklahoma and Alabama offenses were on Saturday, as the teams put up a combined 108 points. Virginia and Notre Dame also shined on offense in victories.

Seth Walder ESPN Analytics

After beating up Vanderbilt 59-0, Alabama has not only moved up to the No. 1 spot in FPI but it also has a 2.2-point edge over No. 2 team Ohio State. Though the Buckeyes and Sooners also won yesterday, neither were as impressive as the Crimson Tide.

Alabama has now won 19 straight games against SEC East opponents. The Crimson Tide's last loss to an East team came in 2010 to South Carolina. Other than Nick Saban, the only other SEC head coach at that time who's still in his current job is Mississippi State's Dan Mullen.
