"The after-the-fact concerns expressed by Michigan are somewhat surprising because a member of its football staff conducted a walk-thru of our facilities with our athletics department staff at Ross-Ade Stadium on July 18."

Harbaugh upset with QB hit, Purdue facilities

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh says he plans to file complaints about a hit on quarterback Wilton Speight, asking why there wasn't a personal foul penalty and why Purdue's health facilities were subpar.

Michigan beat Purdue 28-10 in an offensive struggle for both teams. The Wolverines' defense came through to help secure the win, holding Purdue's offense to 14 total yards of offense in the fourth quarter. The Wolverines won the game, but lost starting quarterback Wilton Speight, who was injured in the first quarter and never returned. His status is still unknown going beyond this game.

Talk about a second-half turnaround. After trailing 10-7 at halftime, Michigan has scored 3 TDs in the 2nd half while Purdue's offense has has 0 1st downs in the second half.

Purdue leads Michigan 10-7 at halftime after Michigan's offense continues to have issues. Only 131 total yards on offense for the Wolverines and an interception from backup quarterback John O'Korn. Starter Wilton Speight left the game in the first quarter after taking an awkward hit on a sack, and is yet to return.

The Boilermaker Special is a replica of a Victorian era steam engine, and is the official mascot of Purdue athletics. The train leads the football team from the team hotel to the stadium on game day. We will be riding along on the train to show you the route first hand.
